The game designers didn't embelish the story any, and actually made the game more enjoyable by staying faithful to it. The story is classic and simple, while King Richard is away his nephew Prince John siezes power with the help of the Sheriff of Nottingham.

It is very similar to Desperados for anyone who played it, but it comes with a host of improvements on the general design and then a lot of specific enhancements that pertain to a medieval adventure game. If you enjoy this type of adventure game this is a must own title. I thought everything in this game was great. The book is so bad I may write a walk through of the first few missions just so others can avoid my frustration. It has lots of information, but not the things you need to know. The only bad part of this game isn't even in the game itself. The graphics, sound, AI, gameplay, mission design, characters, interface, the opening and closing movies, etc.
